I own a full-sized truck and I haul a lot of gear. From motorcycles to furniture to pallets of cargo for work. For the bigger and heavier loads, I feel most comfortable with a bigger, stronger set of straps. I'm so happy I got these Polar Bear straps as they've been a great asset to my load-carrying needs.
Pros: The straps are stout. They are 1.5" wide and the nylon has solid weaving. The ratchet is made with solid components. There is nothing flimsy about these straps. I feel that the 5,000-pound rating is accurate. I also love the fact that the ratchet locks into place in both the fully opened and fully closed positions. I don't have to worry about the device ever opening on me by accident. The straps are long...15 feet. They will go around anything you put in your truck and you'll have plenty of strap length to spare. Lastly, I really like how it comes with its own carrying bag. I throw these straps in the bag and then put them under my back seat for whenever I need them.
Cons: Nothing.
If you ever intend to haul heavy cargo, go ahead and get a pair of Polar Bear ratchet straps. You will be glad you did.
My first though upon opening this was wow, these are not messing around. I'm pretty sure you could tow a car with just one of these attached, let alone two.
I have a 4-pack of old straps I picked up ages ago, and these are WAY bigger, thicker, and stronger looking. You can see this in one picture where I compare what I haver currently to these, they are so much larger they make the old one look like a toy. What's more, the ratcheting handles are much more ergonomic and strong looking, with better padding and much more leverage. The webbing is not just wider, but also much thicker material than my previous set.
The overall build of the ratchet mechanism seems pretty solid too, although I will note one tiny thing I noticed - the spring for the locking mechanism is pretty lightweight. It doesn't bear any weight mind you, and it's in a position where, should it wear out or break, it could probably be easily replaced. But worth noting regardless.
Lastly it is worth nothing they come with a carrying cinch bag, which is nothing amazing but still a nice addition.
All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone looking for some beefy, well made ratcheting straps.
Great ratchet straps that are built to last! Very sturdy and well built ratchets that are east to use based on their larger size, I have larger hands to that's a big plus for me! Plus, I needed some new straps to tie my Pelican Predator 10.2 boat to it's trailer and these were more than able to complete the task with no movement at all. They are easy to use, the ratchets don't hang up and I like the high visibility orange color of the 15 foot straps as that makes them easy to find when you are ratcheting in the dark at the boat ramp. I also like the included bag that easily holds the straps when not in use. I prefer to put the straps in the boat when I'm undoing it from the trailer and the bag will help to keep them from getting wet and moving all over the place inside the boat.
Good for what they are. Pretty light duty though
These ratchet straps seem to be very well made. The velcro straps and bag is a nice addition to keep everything together. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I haven't used them yet

For wire transfer payments, all refunds will be issued to store credit.
You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with getting your order back to our warehouse in Dallas.
